These large plates begin as a blank canvas for the fire. They are about 20-24 inches in diameter and are strategically loaded into the kiln for the flame and ash to glaze. They are meant to hang on a wall or rest vertically on a surface. I find that they capture much of the dynamic energy in the firebox.
